7th December, 2017, Professor Paul Harris, Dean of DJCAD, University of Dundee in the UK visited Sichuan Fine Arts Institute as an authorized representative of Dundee University to sign the Sino-UK Articulation Course Agreement with the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. Professor Jiao Xingtao, Vice-Principal of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, Professor Duan Shengfeng, Dean of the College of Design, Professor Zeng Yue, Director of the International Office of Sichuan Fine Art Institute, Li Xiang, Chief Honorary Representative of DJCAD, and leaders of relevant departments of the university attended the signing ceremony and related meetings.
In order to continue to promote educational reform and discipline construction, further strengthen the innovative practice of foreign exchange and internationalization of education, and cultivate more new talents with an international vision, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and DJCAD have carried out in-depth discussions, continuous work, and With the determination of cooperation confidence, the two sides have taken another solid step towards the goal of international cooperation in education.
At the meeting, Vice-Principal Sichuan Fine Arts Institute Jiao Xingtao warmly welcomed Paul to SCFAI. Paul sincerely praised the teaching level and campus environment of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. At the same time, Jiao Xingtao and Paul both affirmed and encouraged the goal of the university’s cooperation and the promotion of work, and expressed their double Confidence in cooperation. During the meeting, Paul introduced the interdisciplinary research and construction of Dundee University for the disciplines and science of art design, among which the interdisciplinary construction of art and design disciplines in the medical field is particularly prominent.The meeting involved an in-depth discussion of the diversified, multi-dimensional and multi-angle cooperation goals between the two schools. Jiao Xingtao proposed to discuss project cooperation on overseas study of teachers, student exchanges, exhibition and exchange of teachers’ and students’ works. Subsequently, witnessed by the participants, Professor Jiao Xingtao vand Paul, signed the Sino-UK Articulation Course Agreement on behalf of the institutions of the two sides.
Finally, Jiao Xingtao and Paul presented gifts to each other, and the two sides once again expressed their expectations, determination and belief in in-depth cooperation in the internationalization of education.
After the meeting, Paul accompanied by the International Office, visited the campus and various exhibitions of SCFAI, deeply understood the practical innovation and achievements of SCFAI in various fields, and cordially greeted the students and teachers of the Sino-UK Articulation Course Pre-master’s class.
