On March 8, 2018, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute welcomed an interview with Andrew Plant, College International Manager, Art & Design, Nottingham Trent University in the UK.

At the Huxi Campus of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, Director of the International Office of Sichuan Fine Arts Institutes Professor Zeng Yue, the UK representative of the International Articulation Courses Program and the chief representative of DJCAD of Dundee University in the UK Mr. Li Xiang, extended a warm welcome to Andrew. The two sides discussed the joint program of new talents in art and design and held a seminar in the International Office of Sichuan Fine Arts Institutes.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed the ‘Hi! GlobalCreatives!’ The International Pre-master in Art & Design 1+1(+1) and International Foundation in Art & Design. Nottingham Trent University is one of the cooperative institutions under the HGC plan. The two sides hope to find a suitable entry point in artistic innovation, teaching mode, discipline construction, etc., so as to optimize resources, complement each other advantages, and win-win results. In addition, the two sides also jointly discussed the exchange student project, looking forward to jointly cultivating innovative, compound and industrial practical art design talents with an international vision in the global competitive environment. The two sides are expected to reach more project cooperation.

After the meeting, Andrew came to the International Articulation Courses Classroom to understand the situation of the students in the experimental class. The students in the experimental class actively showed their works to Andrew. Andrew not only gave them kind guidance, but also sincerely encouraged and supported them.

Accompanied by Professor Zeng Yue and Mr. Li Xiang,  Andrew also visited the Art Museum of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, the Design Academy and Film-Video-Animation School, etc. Andrew sincerely praised teaching environment and active academic atmosphere.
